‘Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food.’ — Hippocrates

Good nutrition is a fundamental part of everyone’s life. In 400 B.C., the Greek physician Hippocrates, dubbed ‘the Father of Medicine’ said, ‘Let thy food be thy medicine and thy medicine be thy food.’ He realised that food impacts a person’s health, body and mind to help prevent illness as well as to maintain wellness. This principle has survived the centuries and is still valid today.

Our nutritionist applies rigorous science and research-based strategies to help you with:

  • Weight loss
  • Body re-composition
  • Improving sports and exercise performance
  • General wellbeing

What to expect from your first appointment:

During your first appointment, our nutritionist will conduct a full case history to enable her to provide personalised advice. She will collect information about your medical history, lifestyle, dietary patterns, health and sports-related goals. You will fill out a detailed food and lifestyle questionnaire.

She will measure your weight, height and body fat levels and then give you a complete nutritional assessment. By the end of the visit, our nutritionist will provide you with either a tailored meal plan or evidence-based eating guidelines centred on your lifestyle, so that you can immediately start working towards your goals.

Follow-up sessions will be focused on further improving your nutrition, finding solutions to difficulties and/or implementing changes to help you maintain your diet plan and achieve your goals.

The first consultation lasts 1 hour and follow-up sessions are 45 minutes in duration.
